Eden

After the closure of an asbestos mine, facilities and the property were left abandoned. Over 2,500 acres of tailing piles remained exposed, and high concentrations of asbestos and minerals began making their way into two nearby watersheds and into the town of Eden. Cleanup efforts have begun but have been minimal.
